Description: This listing is for the exact shotgun in the photos. Here is a lovely field piece. Manufacturer was Fabrique Nationale of Herstal, Belgium. Importer was Browning of St. Louis, MO, and Montreal P.Q., and so marked. From its high 22,000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1962. Construction is entirely steel metal, European Walnut, and polymer butt plate. Barrels are 26 3/8 inches, nominally 26 inch fixed choke. Chambering is 20 gauge, 2 3/4 inch shells only. Upper barrel is .565 muzzle diameter Improved Cylinder upper, and .559 muzzle diameter Modified lower, marked **. Sight system is 15 post, .235 wide ventilated rib with checkered serration surface, .20 to .25 above the barrel. Mechanism is recoil transfer, single trigger, selective on the safety lever, with split ejectors. Stock is Lightning type round knob field. Length of pull is 14 inches; drop is 1 1/2 by 2 1/4 inches, with a 7/8 inch right hand cast, so this shotgun will not really be southpaw friendly without the services of a stock smith. Overall length is 43 1/4 inches. Weight empty is 6 pounds, 3.2 ounces, centered at the pivot pin. Finish is polished surface original bluing, with gloss finish walnut. Surface detractions are minimal to moderate, principally occasional surface scouring, and occasional under side bluing wear. We rate this shotgun as Very Good Condition, 85 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore and chambers are smooth, clear, and clean throughout. This shotgun comes to us from a Memphis Area, North Mississippi collection. We do not believe it was fired more than 500 times.
