The G10 Hunter starts with a Precision Billet Slick Side upper receiver. These heavy walled receivers are precision machined from solid block of 7075 T6 Billet Aluminum for a 65% increase in strenth and regidity. This stronger more rigid upper receiver increases accuracy and reliability, while extending the life of the interfacing components. The carrier raceway bore through center is Roller Burnished to create a Super Smooth surface for the carrier system.Attention to detail is evident in this uppers features:Engraved “T” numbers, M4 feed ramps and enlarged bolt catch area to allow use of ambi or extended bolt releases. Type III Class II Hardcoat anodized Black for extra protection and corrosion resistance.
UGT 16" ultralight contour barrel manufactured from 416R Stainless Steel and uses EV5 Rifling* with a 1 in 8" twist. Additional features include a mid-length gas port, M4 feed ramps and 5/8" x 24 threaded muzzle. With the 5/8" x 24 threading, this will allow you to use any .30cal suppressors. This barrel uses the "Grendel II" chamber, which has the compound throat taken out of the SAAMI Grendel cartridge. The compound throat was causing issues to where the bullet would get stuck in the lands and grooves. *The EV-5 rifling combines the superior sealing and ease of cleaning attributed to true polygonal rifling, with the positive bullet contact of traditional rifling to deliver truly impressive performance.
