Description: Andreas Albrecht arrived in the colonies 1750 from Germany it is believed he made this gun soon after he arrived, he later opened a gun shop in Moravian settlement of Christians Spring in 1762. Marshall owned it in his later years. Marshall and two other men were involved in the Walking Purchase in witch land in eastern Pa. along the Delaware River was bought from the Indians in 1737. I believe this rifle to be very close to the original. It is a transition rifle this came between the Jagger guns and the Long Rifles. This rifle has a 37" Rice barrel (Swamped) 54 cal.,nice figured Curly Maple, Early Style Set Trigger, 3 1/2 lb. pull hunting 14 oz. target pull, 13 3/4" LOP, Chambers Early Germanic Lock (engraved) . White lightning touch hole liner by Chambers, Oil finished. Overall length 52 1/2". Weight 9lbs. 1 oz.. Comes with a soft case will make a great hunting rifle. Notice the Gnome and mushroom with flower box lock on the patch box.
