Based on a 1967-made Superposed Lightning serial 72026S7, it was used as the basis for this wonderful custom dangerous game double. The new barrels are 23.75 inches long and wear tapered irons (gold bead front and standing express rear set in a quarter rib. Bore condition is perfect and ejectors pop with authority. Metal surfaces are properly rust blued and have nearly 100% of their satin finish. Wood rates about 98%, with one small impression on the forend (left top) and another just behind the pistol grip. LOP is 13.9 inches over a Browning recoil pad, and drops are 1.3 and 1.75 inches. Cast off is slight, about .30 inch. Weight is 10.6 pounds. Engraving includes .458 W-MAG" on rib in gold, with gold relief Cape buffalo and rhino busts on either side of the receiver. Lock up is tight, with lever camping well to the right.
