This is the original WW 1 era rifle with windage adjustable ladder sights and finger grooves. The rifle has been arsenal refinished: there are a couple of stampings (one under the wrist which I tried to get a good shot of, and one just ahead of the trigger guard, but that one is very faint) and a very minor cosmetic blemish around one of the small stock reinforcing bolts below the receiver. I tried to get a good picture of that as well. We function and safety checked the rifle (as well as firing it--see pictures of the target) to make sure it was in good working order. We did an overall visual inspection, in addition, and the rifle looks to be in very good condition. It shoots very well; the bolt works flawlessly and smoothly, and the rifle appears complete and period correct (the butt plate was replaced and updated when it was arsenal refinished, presumably around WW 2). It comes with a reproduction bayonet (the black finish is period correct for WW 1) and scabbard, plus a reproduction leather sling. We purchased this rifle from a private seller who originally had asked us to sell it on consignment through our shop. We have re-priced the rifle to help clear our inventory.
