The bird season is fast upon us and many are looking for a good upland gun that can double as a clay target gun for those vintage shoots. This fine Parker, sn142056 made in 1907, is your gun, with great dimensions and chokes for most of your needs, excellent cosmetics and mechanics, and desirable ejectors. Weighing in at 6lbs. 13oz. and nicely balanced, it is light enough for the field but won’t beat you up on the clays course.

The 28” barrels have mirror bores, 99% rust blue, choked IC/LM (.007/.019, can be altered for $70 per barrel), bore diameter of .664/.662, minimum wall thickness of 28 thousandths, 2 ¾” chambers with lengthened forcing cones for better patterns and less recoil, ribs are tight and barrels ring like chimes, ejectors strong and timed, barrels tight on breech face and hinge pin like a new gun, lettering sharp, a nice set of barrels.

The action has traces of case color with the balance a pleasing soft silver, excellent screws, action tight and lever is right of center, engraving clear, crisp triggers, grey trigger guard, all in excellent mechanical condition.

The wood has a near perfect oil finish with perfect checkering, no splits, cracks, dings, or repairs, excellent wood to metal fit, 14 ¾” LOP to a nice Pachmyer Sporting Clays Decelerator pad, 13 ¾” LOP to the end of the wood with the “widow’s peak still present from the dogs head butt plate (wood not cut off), 2 ½” drop at heel, 1 ½” drop at comb, neutral cast for excellent dimensions (can be bent to your specs for about $180 within 10 days of purchase), really a great set of factory wood. The finish and checkering are flawless.

The ejector Parker VH Grade guns are hard to find in good condition like this one. An affordable Parker with all of the famous handling characteristics and shooting qualities, this is an excellent entry level gun to get you started on your double gun adventure. These guns really hold there value unlike modern guns, so you can rest assured you are making a good investment in this Parker. I have provided all of the important information you could need in making a wise purchase, including excellent photos. Make sure you don’t make any mistakes by buying a gun lacking good, sound information on which to base your decision.

There are more photos upon request. THERE IS A 30 DAY MECHANICAL WARRANTY ON THIS GUN. Please see my other fine Vintage Firearms on this website. Just click on the line in the ad that says “see all items from this seller” and a great list of collectible and sporting arms will appear. Thanks for looking!
