It is in .44WCF (.44-40) caliber with a 4.75” barrel and standard hard rubber grips. This Colt is an ANTIQUE and does not need an FFL to ship. Currently, the barrel length is 5.5”. You have options: the barrel has been changed; someone stretched it; or the factory made a typo. Your choice! The barrel is proper in all respects and the wear is consistent with the rest of the gun. At some point in time, the hard rubber grips have been replaced with well fit ivory grips. The right grip shows an age crack or a fissure. In either case, the grip is stable and solid. It is difficult to find any case colors and the blue is turning to patina of a blue-gray color. The bore is very good for a black powder gun, and the mechanics are all present and lock up very tight. It appears the firing pin has been replaced but with the proper vintage pin. There are two areas on the cylinder of pin prick corrosion, which I’ve pictured. The holster is a single loop, steer head, heavy leather holster, not as old as the gun, made by H. H. Heiser, Denver, Colorado. It is in very good, using condition.
