Description: Here is one of the last specimens of the toughest medium frame, standard heavy barrel revolver ever produced in the United States, the Ruger Speed Six. This one's serial number range is 0, and it dates to President Reagan’s Reelection Year, 1984. This specimen is a civilian, single-family owned estate piece from neighboring Henderson County, Tennessee. This Speed Six, of course, was the primary competitor Smith & Wesson model 65-3; and the Speed Six’s Descendant GP-100 is still standing. On this revolver, specs are double- and single-action revolver; 2 3/4 inch heavy barrel with shrouded ejector rod; 7 groove serrated solid rib with pin-on black ramp front sight and fixed notch rear sight; entirely stainless steel construction with full steel round butt grip frame; six shot cylinder capacity; .357 Magnum, .38 Special standard and +P ammunition interchangeably; .350 smooth combat trigger and .300 cleated spur service hammer; internal transfer bar safety mechanism; floating firing pin; weight 32 1/8 ounces empty. Grips are original issue Ruger Walnut Factory Magna Service type with a minimal amount of scouring on their right panel. Surface detractions are minimal on this Speed Six. It shows only faint occasional holster contact buffing, small streaks, and cylinder rotation marking. We rate it as Excellent, 90 percent vicinity. Photos, at any rate, should suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Blast effect to the under side of the frame top strap directly above the barrel's forcing cone is negligible, only carbon blacking with no visible cutting whatsoever. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap is a tight .005, which helps explain the absence of blast effect. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent, and the hammer travels an additional 10 to 15 degrees after the cylinder times in all six positions in double action. On single action, the hammer travels an additional 30 degrees on all six, and the single action trigger pull measures a crisp original 4 1/4 pounds with no felt creep effect. Lateral play to the cylinder is minimal, less than 1mm total by our estimate, with the trigger relaxed; and with the trigger fully depressed there is no movement at all. These revolvers are very hard to come by; we've only gotten five or six a year for the past twenty years. This specimen is attractive, collectable, and eminently serviceable. We're offering this Reagan Era Ruger Speed Six .357 Magnum for only $ 539.00 Not transferable to civilians in California, D.C., or Massachusetts. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $10 lower 48; $30 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
