Made in Belgium. 27 1/2" barrel with fixed modified choke. The receiver has scroll engraving and reads "BROWNING" and "LIGHT TWELVE" on the left side. It has proof marks on the right side and rear of the receiver. The barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS CO. ST. LOUIS MO. **SPECIAL STEEL – 12 GAUGE – SHELLS 2 3/4” with various Belgian proof marks. The right side is marked “MADE IN BELGIUM”. The two * marks indicate modified choke. This shotgun is in good used condition. Wood and metal show wear from use, but no damage. Bluing is almost all still present, although it has turned brown from age, which is normal. We find no pitting, but the metal has a somewhat speckled appearance. Round knob pistol grip stock and forend are very nice, with almost no scratches or dents. No cracks or repairs. The original buttplate marked "BROWNING AUTOMATIC" AND "FN" is complete, with no chips or cracks. The bore is mirror-bright, no scratches or pits. The action is in excellent working condition. We found that it will cycle with very light 7/8 oz. trap loads – not every Auto-5 will. The friction ring hardware can be easily changed for normal heavier loads.
