This is a nice US ARMY pistol manufactured in 1943. The pistol retains the majority of original finish. This gun appears to be completely original but for the grips. The original grips have been replaced with leucite grips showing the original owners name, rank and number. The “Colt” marked barrel remains very good with some light overall wear; Bore shows some light freckling with strong rifling. The slide is very nice with some light wear to muzzle where gun was holstered. “GHD” marked frame remains very good with some wear to grip straps and other extremities. Gun action functions flawlessly. As mentioned before original grips have been replaced with grips showing the previous owners name, rank and number.
