We design, precision modify, and custom build the original Russian SAIGA AK47 .308 Winchester caliber rifle into the SAIGA-XTR for those who simply want the best. This Russian AK47, chambered in .308 Winchester, features world renowned AK47 reliability PLUS the battle-proven performance of the .308 Winchester cartridge. The sheer firepower of this AK47 tactical weapon is incredible! We first press out the over-sized chrome lined barrel. Next, our master machinist flutes the barrel. Barrel fluting adds rigidity for increased accuracy, increases surface area for improved heat dissipation, and reduces weight. Next, we locate the trigger guard next to the magazine latch and install a customized G2 trigger group for a crisp 3.5# trigger pull. We turn the end of the barrel down and add mil-spec 14:1 metric left hand threads so you can install any mil-spec AK47 muzzle break or flash suppressor. We remove the factory finish through abrasive blasting with aluminum oxide then apply premium mil-spec GUN-KOTE™ metal coating and finish. Designed specifically for special weapons in harsh environments, this metal coating & finish was first specified by the U.S. Military for use on SOCOM Special Sniper Weapons (SPR’s) in 2003. GUN-KOTE™ is far superior to parkerized, blued, or air dry finishes in both durability and performance. GUN-KOTE™ metal coating & finish protects metal parts from rust, corrosion, & scratches and will not break down, peel or dissolve. In fact, once applied and thermal-cured, the only way to remove it is through abrasive blasting. GUN-KOTE™ is resistant to ALL known gun solvents, oils, acids, and thinners. GUN-KOTE™ is a highly specialized, hard, abrasion resistant coating that meets ALL MILITARY SPECIFICATIONS for protective metal coatings. GUN-KOTE™ is formulated to provide excellent impact resistance, lubricity (meets military dry firing specs), heat dissipation, chemical resistance, corrosion protection, durability, and scratch resistance. It is specially formulated for salt corrosion protection and meets US Military requirements for "Resistant to Chemicals". GUN-KOTE™ has outstanding heat dissipating qualities, outstanding temperature variation durability (+800 degrees F to -300 degrees F), and outstanding lubrication qualities (self-lubricating benefits from molybdenum disulphide). The M4 target stock adjusts to 6 positions and features an aluminum tube for maximum strength. We add an ambidextrous sling adapter to the butt stock assembly to attach a single point sling. This original Russian SAIGA receiver has a steel side-rail installed providing the option to mount variable power scopes. The TAPCO RAZR™ tactical entry muzzle break has multiple heat treated steel pronged tips shaped to penetrate wood, sheet-rock, and glass. The tactical quad-rail system is made from aircraft grade aluminum alloy. We machine and custom fit it to our SAIGA-XTR 308. The four full length+ mil-spec picatinny rails provide options for mounting any accessory. Black rubber protective rail guards are included. The Israeli military pistol grip has ergonomic finger groves, hinged bottom plate and battery storage tube. PACKAGE INCLUDES: Two (2) US Mfg.
