Here is a correct, all steel magazine for Smith & Wesson First and Second Generation metal frame 59 series pistols, manufactured from 1972 until 1989. Manufacturer is Mec-Gar, s.r.l., of Gussago, Italy. Main body importer is Mec-Gar USA; floorplate importer is Kel-Tec of Cocoa, Florida. Exclusive distributor is Robertson Trading Post. Construction is one piece folded steel body with full length tig welded back, with steel spring and inner plate; with steel floorplate; and with black polymer cartridge follower. Each magazine is perforated for round count. Finish is smooth milled back and polished surface blued metal. Each magazine holds 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition. These magazines will fit any 59 or 69 series Smith & Wesson 9mm, including models 59, 459, 559, 659, 910, 915, 5903, 5904, 5926, 5926, 5976, and 5986, including the TSW variants. They are correct and flush fitting for the First and Second Generation models 59, 459, 559, and 659. They will fit in, but protrude from, the grip frames of the smaller 469 and 669 pistols. They are a period correct fit for a Marlin Camp 9 Carbine. They will kit Kel-Tec model P11 Pistols and Sub-2000 rifles, but only the rifles that were designed from S&W 59 / 5900 magazines. They are an iffy fit for Star models 28, 30, and 31, but only if the Star's magazine safety is removed. They will not fit any other firearms that we know of.
