Very nice Model 1885 with vintage Weaver J-4 scope. This rifle has been relined and custom chambered to .22 Winchester Rimfire Magnum (.22 WRM) caliber. It is serial #78555, made in 1896, so it is classified as an antique - no FFL needed. The whole gun has been refinished in quality fashion. I don't know if the stocks are original to the gun or modern replacements, but the cut checkering is of Winchester pattern of the era, and well done, if not factory, and includes an ebony inlay in the forearm. There are no markings on the upper tang, which is typical, but the barrel shows both the address and original caliber stamp (.22 LR) under the scope.
