Ithaca Western Arms Deluxe Wards Western Field Guns > Shotguns > Ithaca Shotguns > SxS
Description: In the early 1930’s Ithaca produced a number of Western Arms Long Range Double guns that were custom made exclusively for Montgomery Ward and Company. The guns featured a pistol-grip cap and checkering patterns on the butt stock and forend; not seen on the basic Western Arms Long Range Double. The top of the right barrel was marked Montgomery Ward & Co., the top of the left barrel was marked Western Field-Deluxe. This gun, a 12 gauge serial #13937 was made in 1930. The barrels are 30 inches, choked Full and Modified with twin ivory beads. The checkered walnut butt stock and forearm are very good with a few minor handling marks. Barrel bluing is 98+% with no scratches, rust or dings. The checkering is sharp. The receiver retains almost 100% of its very vivid case color. The bores are excellent with no evidence of pitting. The LOP is 14” to an original Hawkins pad. This gun is described and pictured in the Double Gun Journal Volume Seven, Issue 1, Spring 1996 in an article by Walt Snyder. A very nice all original early gun in collectible condition. Must ship to an FFL, C&R ok. Will ship to CA. 3-day non firing non-disassembly return policy.
