Serial number 342ARV has a 23-inch barrel with banded & hooded front sight, banded sling swivel stud and a quarter rib with one standing and one folding leaf. The action itself features a three-position wing safety, straight bolt handle and inside-the-bow release. The stock is fashioned from exhibition grade walnut with fine wrap checkering. It has double crossbolts capped with ebony, English cheekpiece with shadow line, Howell-type inletted sling swivel stud and a steel grip cap. Weight is 11.2 pounds with scope and LOP is 13.7 inches over Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad (cracked). Metal finish is at least 98 percent, with only slight indications of field use. Wood is about 97 percent from modest field impressions typical of a single safari. The 1.1-4x24 Schmidt & Bender Zenith incorporates an interesting circled/crosshair reticle with heavy posts at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock.
