It chambers a 4mm round ball with a cramming action from the Stiegele system which is a movable breechlock that utilizes a rimless cap.The breech is cammed into the rear of the barrel thus seating the ball into the rifling. The striker /firing assembly spans nearly the entire length of the barrel. The trigger guard pulls down to retract the striker assembly. The camming system has an extractor for unloading the caps after the firing sequence. The barrel is 7 3/4" and the octagon barrel assembly is 27" long. It has double set triggers that can be adjusted . The receiver,trigger guard camming system, front sights, and horns Ryle steel butt plate are color case hardened. Missing rear sight aperture ,however, everything else is complete and in perfect working condition. European sling swivels and checkered stock and forend. The extended cheek rest allows the firearm to be shot from the arm and there is a thumb rest protruding from the right side of the stock. There is minor surface rust on the left side of the receiver and some slight dings and scratches on the stock. There is a small crack behind the tang of the receiver but the overall condition is very good/excellent. The rifling in this firearms has 12 lands and grooves. This is a nice addition to any collection.
