Has some surface rust on barrell, the stock has the ’Eagle’, ’1864’, and ’U.S. Springfield’ on it. There is one screw missing on the hammer but it still works and stays in place when pulled back into both positions. The gun is in very good shape for it’s age. It has been verified to have been used in the Civil War. The picture doesn’t do this rifle the justice that it deserves. It’s a real gem of an antique!!
