odySerial # 18xxx, circa 1888. Special order 38-56 rifle with 30" oct bbl, Fine+ bore, & set trigger. Bbl w/std sights is a smooth plum/blue with the lower flats still a deep blue w/bright edges, tube is a mix of silver/brown with blue in protected areas. Recr is silver/gray w/areas of bright silvered case hardening. Set trigger works fine, exc mechanics. Straight grip wood & FE are in Fine+ cond with only minor handling marks, early crescent BP and nose cap have gone to silver. Longer than std bbls in the ’86 are one of the greater rarities according to Madis. Cody letter included. H/W TRADE CONSIDERED
