Serial # 205xxx, circa1881. Very nice 44-40 rifle with scarce set trigger, 24" oct bbl, fine bore, with strong rifling. Exterior has turned plum, very sharp address & cal markings & standard sights. Rec is mixed silver/brown with bright blue in the radius’ & around the sideplates, VG "44 Cal" on the brass elevator, smooth tight mechanics. Near exc wood with very minor handling marks, exc fit to metal, no cracks or chips, with nose cap and BP silvered, Still has it’s 4 piece cleaning rod in the butt.
