Smith & Wesson model 65-4 Stainless 4 inch VG Mfg. 1993 Guns > Pistols > Smith & Wesson Revolvers > Full Frame Revolver
Description: To the best of our knowledge, this Smith & Wesson Model 65 Stainless 4” .357 Magnum was manufactured early in 1993. Its serial number prefix is BNP. Finishwise, this revolver’s chief detraction is on its right side plate, a lightly etched replica of its serial number scrawled in by some idiot. We advocate a felony conviction, perhaps suspended, for such idiocy – write your Congressman if you agree. Other than that, this revolver is actually quite nice. It has light pecks on its surface that affect 10 to 15 percent of its surface area by our estimate. Even though we have polished this revolver, much of its original streaking remains intact, as does the original satin stainless finish on its hammer and trigger. Sideplate screw head stress evidence is moderate on the forward screw and negligible on the rear screw. We consider this revolver to be Very Good to Excellent mechanically. Blast effect to the frame topstrap underside directly above the forcing cone is about 1/1000 deep, and extends to about 80 percent of the topstrap’s width. Bore, rifling, and cylinder chambers are excellent. On double action, the hammer travels about 10 degrees after the cylinder locks into place on all 6 positions. On single action, there is similar travel on 4 positions, and lockup when the hammer comes to standing position on 2 positions. Cylinder lockup is Excellent as far as lateral wobble, this is negligible. Double action trigger pull is moderately stiff but smooth; and the single action trigger pull is crisp and about 4 pounds by our estimate. If a person can ignore the serial number scribing, this will make a pleasing revolver. We do not consider the cutting effect to the topstrap to be such a problem, since it is shallow. This is an eminently serviceable Model 65. It comes in a factory generic brown box with the appropriate bar-coded label; and we’re offering it for only $289.95

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony. GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
