RG Industries RG31 .38 Special 2 Inch 5-Shot VG Cond Guns > Pistols > EAA Pistols > Other
Description: The reason we put RGs under the EAA category on Guns America is that the original EAA founders, Mr. Saul and Mrs. Lois Eig, whom we knew very, very well, we also the original notable importers of RG products. Serially numbered Q076xxx, we estimate that this RG 31 Revolver was manufactured in the late 1970s. We obtained it from one of our favorite Coonass traders on the Mississippi side of Louisiana. It has light surface pitting in the enamel coating of the finish, more conspicuous on the right side of the frame; and a little bit of damage to the original enamel on the left side of the hammer. It is, however, Very Good to Excellent in its bore and cylinder chambers. It is Very Good to Excellent mechanically as well; the cylinder times into place before the hammer breaks on both single and double action, and the double action pull is quite smooth. This is not an Airweight, but it is not really rated for +P ammunition. My late brother, however, sold one customer with an RG 31 over 3 boxes of Super Vel +P+ Ammo back in the 1970s, $2.00 worth at a time, and the revolver held up and continued working even though the barrel shroud loosened and spun. Note that these are pinned-barrel, following the Smith & Wesson custom of the 1970s and before. Speaking of pins, the way this revolver works is that you unscrew the cylinder pin, it comes completely out, and then you use it to remove the empty brass. RG made a true swingout, the RG 38S and RG 40, but they were not as reliable mechanically as the RG 31s. Own this nice old RG 31, the most mechanically sound .38 Special of the entire RG Line, for only $ 169.95

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony. GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
