Up for consideration is an early Rossi Double, I believe it was the Upland model. Its not the shorter-barreled Coach Gun. This is the desired early model with the Greener Crossbolt locking system that was eliminated on later models. Why is it so cheap and why is it for sale? Well, some Nimrod tried to alter the gun, either for a person of very small stature or a left-eye dominant right shooter, and hacked the buttstock up. Its been shortened and a big "hunk" carved out of the top. Both Boyd's and Great American can make a new buttstock, and you will probably want them to. They also added sling swivels to it, the front one being a home-made brass job that's screwed to the rib, but the screw holes can be plugged or the job can be finished properly. I just don't have the time or energy for the project. The rest of the gun is in like-new condition, case-hardened hammers and lollypop, very nice bores. Must ship to FFL or be picked up FTF in Ft. Worth, TX. Payment is by USPS MO or Bank Check or MO, cash is OK if localpickup is arranged.
