Indian Blanket Gun made from a Cut-Down 1816 Harpers Ferry Flintlock Musket dated 1822 converted to percussion. Very crudely done by chopping the butt and forend off with a hatchet. Barrel appears to be secured by a loop underneath and cut at an angle. Screws replaced with bolts. The gun appears to have been panted yellow with traces remaining. It was cut down so it cold be easily concealed under a blanket.
