This is a shooter. 26" round barrel with half magazine. Now I'll tell you what I know. It was originally made in 1898, so it qualifies as antique. It has been totally reblued. That means nice and shiney, good blueing job, but not too picky about edges. Screw holes are a little cupped. Butt stock is a good replacement, but it does not have a Winchester butt plate on the shotgun butt. And the toe was mended at some point - a reasonably good repair. Forestock is refinished but original. Mechanically it is fine. Everything functions smoothly. The good news is someone rebarreled it with a new mail order (Winchester) barrel at some point. The bore is beautiful. It was also reblued. The lettering is all visible, but well buffed. If someone wants a very good, serviceable shooter in .32-40, this would be the gun.
