It duplicates a Colt from that period to a T. It has a 5" barrel/slide and is all original except for the finish. I think it was redone in a nice low lustre blue. 100% interchangeable with a Colt model 1911. Well made gun at a reasonable price. These`were milled forged guns. What else can you buy for this price in a 1911. Lots of cast frame stuff out there. The left side of slide is marked D.G.F.M.-(F.M.A.P.), the right side is marked SIST> COLT Cal 11.25mm MOD 1927.
