Turkish Mauser and Bayonet, 8 mm, serial number 3772, Ankara arsenal, 1933. Barrel is 29”, bore is good. Very nice adjustable ladder rear sight - serial number marked - blade front sight. Stock length is 44.75” overall, utilitarian finish, possibly a light walnut. Hand-guard is a dark-finished walnut. Has many dings, but no cracks; very solid. LOP 13”. Metal butt plate with heel tang. 2 barrel bands, 2 sling swivels. The serial number is marked in several areas. The bolt is an arsenal replacement; it’s numbered 693. The arsenal stamped the number 93 on the top of the receiver, forward, left side, to reflect the change. The bayonet lug locks on to rifle tight. OAL 14.5”, blade length 9.5”. The pommel and grips show wear, dents and some spotting. The blade has minor spotting, but overall good. It has not been sharpened or ground. The rifle appears to be in very good working order.
