German Percussion Lock Pistol signed Tanner, Hannover on the lock in a gold backed cartouche C. D. Tanner worked in Hanover from 1825 to 1850. Overall length is 14 inches with an 8 1/2 inch 52 caliber octagonal rifled barrel with a patent breech. Full stocked. Checkered butt. No cracks but there are a few dents. The hammer and lock are decorated with foliated designs with a snake head. German silver trigger guard with a finger rest engraved with a foliated design German silver ramrod pipes. Original ramrod with a broken end. Single set trigger. Sharp metal with no corrosion. Works fine.
