Argentine model 1879 rolling block black powder cartridge rifle (BPCR) in .43 Spanish caliber, made under a Remington contract. Matching serial numbers on upper and lower tang, buttstock, and barrel. Barrel bands are marked "U". Based on its excellent condition, has most likely been factory reconditioned. Rear sight has sliding elevator; short blade front sight. Sharp rifling but very minor pitting of bore. Mechanically sound; crisp trigger. Comes with threaded ramrod, C-H 3-die set (11.15X58R), Lyman .43 Spanish neck expander (M) die, 137-page book by Croft Barker titled "Shooting the .43 Spanish Rolling Block", and 50 rounds of Winchester cases that were made from 348 Win brass and have been fired 3 times each. $875 plus $40 for postage and insurance.
