It is a short barrel version, supposedly used by mounted troops, and others who needed a shorter less cumbersome gun that was more easily handled. It has a 17.7" barrel, and is in 6.5X55mm, and the fixed box mag holds 5 rounds. It has a Mauser type receiver, with adjustable sights and bayonet lug.
