Description: SPRRINGFIELD TRAPDOOR CONVERSION: Model 1864 Springfield with Alin Trapdoor Conversion. Civil war era rifle converted in 1866 to 50-70 Centerfire. Trapdoor works, firing pin still works, sights are complete. The conversion consists of relining the barrel and making it a 50 Cal. from a 58 Cal. and making it a center-fire metallic cartridge firing gun. It is missing the ramrod, but other than that, it is complete. Trigger and hammer cock and work correctly. This is an interesting rifle that was probably converted from Civil War duty, to be issued to the army as the country moved West. $495.00

Kirk is a Montana native whose father always told him he had a whiskey taste on a water income. That is true today...Kirk never considered himself a failure, he started out at the bottom and likes it there. His passion is for old Colt's and Winchesters and what he doesn't know about them he consults with Mike Venturino who has written about some of Kirk's less notable exploits. Kirk returns all calls and is mostly pleasant to talk to. Phone Cell,; home,
