This Chief's Special, s/n 441xxx was made 1n 1968 at the hiegth of the VietNam War. It is a small 2 inch barreled, 5 chambered revolver. It has walnut grip panels and is of the 3 screw design that allowed the factory to make more weapons per hour. The trigger and frount sights are serreted. This is a weapon produced when the British firm of Bangor Punta owned S&W and the weapons were no of the previous quality. This revolver had been carefully gunsmith check and fired amd though it could have been a lemon this one is solid with solid lock-up, no endshake and a good trigger pull. it is concealable enough to carry for person protection or as a back-up to a more powerful weapon.
