***SALE PENDING***This is a rare, Webley "WP" Model. It is a tiny .32 cal. revolver with over 90% of its original, bright, shiney blue. This particular example is exceedingly rare due to the fact that it is the "Hammer" Model and is serial number 718. Bruce's book states that the "earliest observed "Hammer" serial No. 1547, sold by Army & Navy Stores in the year 1908." (p.161). The total production of this model was about 8600 pieces and that includes both the "Hammerless" and "Hammer" versions. This revolver was sold in 1903 and is the earliest known example of the "Hammer Model." It is only 7" in overall length with a 3" barrel. Except for a buggered screw this one is in excellent condition and comes complete with fine, original holster which is as rare as the revolver. It is marked with the "Webley" name and was retailed by "Hooten & Jones, 50 Dale St, Liverpool" which is stamped on top of the barrel.
