According to Supica’s and Nahas’s serialization in their Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, this Model 31-1 Blue steel 4 inch Revolver was manufactured early in 1971. It carries, of course, six of the .32 S&W Long (or short) cartridge; it has a 4 inch barrel; and it is in square butt configuration. This revolver is in Excellent condition, and it has been in the same family since it was bought new 35 years ago. Its only detractions are inconspicuous light spotting, mostly on the cylinder surface, that affects 5 to 10 percent of the finish. There is one light inconspicuous scratch on the sideplate that does not penetrate the finish, and none of the screws show any stress. Sideplate view on second photo is a grease mark, more precisely Rem-oil, not a scratch. Scuffing indications to the grips are negligible; and the hammer and trigger retain full strength color casehardened finish. The right grip panel logo has some greenish toning to its nickel finish, appropriate for the revolver’s age.
From our knowledge of the family and from the condition of this revolver, it has been fired fewer than 50 times. Bore and cylinder chambers are excellent. If anyone is interested in firing it, though, the double action trigger pull is characteristically stiff for such a seldom-fired small-frame Smith & Wesson, with the hammer traveling only about 2 degrees after the cylinder times into place on double action. Single action trigger pull is exceptionally light and crisp, less than 4 pounds, and the hammer travels a full 10 degrees or more after timing in that mode. Lateral “wobble” (of the cylinder) in fired position is 2mm or less. Own this fine, Excellent little Model 31 Smith & Wesson, serially numbered H335xx, for only $339.95

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
