Attention Civil War Collectors! Up for sale today is a US Springfield Model 1816 dated 1836. We just acquired this musket from an estate sale outside of Gettysburg PA. This musket was originally flint and converted to percussion sometime just before the War between the States. Although these muskets were used somewhat by Federal troops, it was most definitely a primary weapon in the Confederacy. The gun is in great shape, showing a lot of the bright finish, with the stock being free of any cracks and showing several oval cartouches on the left side and retains its original ramrod. A wonderful piece of US history. PA residents add 6% sales tax.
