REDUCEDThis Model 10 was made in 1976 for the French Gendarmes.
It is a standard Heavy Barrel M-10 that has has the last one-eight of it's hammed cropped off and a lanyard loop installed on the butt. The lanyard loop disfigured the serial number so the S/N was relocated to the left side of the topstrap. There is also a shield on the left side of the frame above the front attachment of the trigger guard that identifies it as a French Gendarme Weapon. The importer's mark is located between the shield and the cylinder window. The bore and chambers are fine and the finish is a factory slightly dull blue. The revolver has walnut, medallion grip panels. A Thirty-one year old piece for a Law Enforcement or S&W collection.
