To call this a Diamondback Copy when it is, of course, basically a Smith & Wesson copy may sound ludicrous, but the frame size and configuration of this Excellent Reagan-era Interarms Rossi Model 851 Revolver is strongly similar to the Colt Diamondback that (a) was never manufactured in Stainless, and (b) will never again be available, much less affordable, for most of us to own. This Rossi 4 inch Vent Rib, White Outline / Red Ramp revolver is Excellent, both cosmetically and mechanically. The only surface detractions are light cylinder marking, one small scuff on either side of the frame near the trigger, and frame contact indications on the side of the hammer. Blast effect to the under side of the frame topstrap directly above the forcing cone is negligible; the lead and carbon deposits are the reverse of blast cutting. Lateral cylinder movement is moderate with the trigger relaxed, no more than 2mm total, but negligible with the trigger pulled all the way. Double action trigger pull is exceptionally smooth, and the hammer travels an additional 5 degrees or so after the cylinder times into place in that mode of firing. On single action, the hammer travels a full 35 degrees after the cylinder times, and the single action trigger pull is a light, crisp 3 3/8 pounds. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap is .010, wider than normal for a Smith & Wesson but pretty decent for a Brazilian Copy. While we know of no records on Rossi serialization, this one’s number is J4432xx, and we estimate it was manufactured during the late years of the Reagan Administration. It’s one of the most attractive revolvers we’ve come across, from its Goncalo Target Grips all the way to its Red Ramp front sight sitting atop a 3-bar Ventilated Rib Barrel. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
