Really nice gun. Barrel date is 9-43, s/n 40953XX. The metal is about 95% and the wood is uncleaned with the usual minor storage dings and handling marks but no cracks or gouges. The (-)5% on the metal is from the trigger guard begining to go to plum, some wear on the floorplate, and a replacement rear sling swivel (marked "RP" for Rochester parts) which is parkerized. All the other small parts are blued. The wood is properly cartouched on the left but the small inspector marks forward of the trigger guard are not present. There is a double "P" proof aft of the trigger guard and the left buttsock is marked "RIA/EB" in a rectangle - the gun has passed through the Rock Island Arsenal but is un-messed with except for the rear sling swivel. The bore is excellent but dark.
Will ship U.S.P.S. insured.
