This is a Pre-Ban Springfield Armory M1A in "like new" condition. This rifle has a low serial number and was made in 1984 according to the research I have done. Rifle is completely finished with a "Black T" finish from W.E. Birdsong & Associates. Black T finishes are primarily used on government and law enforcement weapons. The finish is self lubricating, extremely durable and weather resistant. This is the finish that all other weapon finishes are judged by. The coating has been around since 1973 and is still the industry standard in firearm finishes. Rifle has a flash hider and bayonet lug. Early models such as this one are made from actual miltary parts which is most desirable. This rifle has the "Big Red" stock which is the oversized stock similar to that for a Garand. It has a sticker on the stock for the Camp Perry National Championships. This rifle has an MRT sling, National match sights, NM barrel, NM op rod, NM stock and all other parts. Also the stock has been factory bedded for ultimate accuracy. Throat erosion on this rifle is a "0" making it truly a rifle that is in near perfect condition!! This rifle is truly a rare rifle and will make a fantastic addition to your collection. Don't miss your chance as another rifle of this quality may be very rare!! I have additional pics if needed.
