Smith&Wesson model 24 Special Combat (and so marked on the plaque on the top of the wood presentation case)Lew Horton limited edition N frame 44 special caliber with the K frame round butt grip and special finger groove combat grips, 3inch lite weight tapered barrell, a great gun for sure. This one is engraved on the right side "Model 24 Special Combat 1st One Hundred" with lite scroll work and its all gold filled, probably work that Lew Horton had done for the first 100 guns made. The rest of this run didn't come in wood presentation cases. This wood presentation case is fully fitted to this gun and is red velvet, much nicer than the standard S&W cases of the time. All excellent condition.
