Kimber very quickly established itself as a producer of quality firearms in the 1980s; and recent recognition of their 1911 style pistols’ quality has put them as a strong competitor for the Law Enforcement sidearm market. Here is one of Kimber’s products that has limited availability for all its markets, both civilian and law enforcement, its Pro Carry HD II Stainless .45 ACP pistol. This is what we call a Stainless Commander Size; only its barrel is a dead 4 inches compared to the original Colt Commander’s 4 1/4 inches. Construction is entirely Stainless steel, with the exception of its fixed three-dot Night Sights, its black anodized skeleton serrated commander style hammer, and its alloy serrated face match trigger with overtravel adjustment. Trigger on this pistol gauges 4 1/2 pounds with negligible felt creep from our inspection. Main safety is ambidextrous extended with serrated surfaces. Grip safety is stainless beavertail; and the magazine release is right-hand-shooter with checkered serrated surface. Other specs, from Kimber’s home site, are 5.25 inches height; weight empty 35 ounces; total of 3 stainless 7 round factory Kimber magazines; double diamond green-gray laminate factory grips with stainless allen grip screws; match grade 4 inch stainless barrel with 16 inch LH twist; 5.7 inch sight radius; overall extreme length 7.7 inches; 22 pound recoil spring mounted on a full length guide rod that has its own bushing; checkered-serration flat C style mainspring housing. Caliber, of course, is .45 ACP. Surface detractions on this Pro Carry HD II are moderate, mostly edge wear in the form of whitening to its black sight and hammer surfaces and faint amounts of buffing and scouring to the muzzle regions of the slide, holster contact to the slide sides; and edge scouring to the frame. We rate it as Very Good, since no more than 15 to 20 percent of its surfaces are affected by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is Excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. From our darkroom inspection, its night sights are 80-90 percent strength, with eight or nine years of viability. We estimate this pistol was in service for no more than three years, with fewer than 500 rounds fired through it. Serial number range on these pistols is KR15000 – KR19000. Replacement pricing in our area on this pistol is $1,000 or more per unit. We’re offering the Kimber Pro Carry HD II in the photo, however, with a total of 3 magazines and Factory Night Sights for only $ 689.95. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
