This is a very fine Colt auto. 1924 manufacture. Same owner for over 50 years, (1962) a retired San Francisco Lieutenant. He lives down the street. This Colt looks like new, even has grease in the barrel. Was wrapped in the wax paper from the factory. The wax paper says "NOX-RUST keep this precision item rust free....do not unwrap until ready for use " This may be an unfired gun, i'm not positive but, the slide catch has no burrs and the retaining pocket has no visible wear to the bluing. This gun and and another like it were made as payment to an off duty police officer, (Phil) for his hauling many boxes to a storage area for a woman cleaning out a flat, after her aunt passed. It was taken out from time to time, over the years, to show friends that were interested in older firearms. The current owner has never fired this pistol. This one is like you see it, with the box. The other gun, was wrapped in a pillowcase tucked under the mattress. The earlier pistol has already sold. This one has some interesting history. Please make an an offer. Louie, Vietnam Combat Vet, Thanks.
