I've been a Cooper fan for some time. They're the most accurate rifles I've ever owned, but with their single-shot bolt design I limited my use to Varmint shooting. When they finally came out with the Model 52 repeater, I quickly jumped on the bandwagon. I later wanted to upgrade, and ordered this exquisite Model 52 stocked in exhibition grade Myrtlewood. I just received it a couple weeks ago, but with the downturn in the building trades in recent months, I'm now more concerned about making the mortgage than in carrying a rifle of this beauty and value. Look at the test target for this rifle! It's extraordinary even by Cooper standards. This rifle is chambered in the versatile 30-06, and the list price as ordered was $3,250. This rifle will out-shoot and "out-look" custom rifles costing several times the money.
