Here is Bersa’s Walther PPK/S take-off, the basic Thunder 380 in non glare matte finish. Manufacturer is Bersa, S.A., of Ramos Mejia, Argentina. Importer and warrantor is R.S.A., Eagle Bersa of Wanamassa NJ. Construction is steel barrel, slide, hammer, trigger, and internal parts built on a light weight alloy frame. Type is traditional double and single action blowback semi automatic pistol. Its maximum slide thickness is .865, and the frame thickness is only .630. With its hard rubber grips, the Bersa reaches a maximum thickness of only 1.3 inches at the widest point of the grips. Maximum height, including the finger rest magazine floorplate, is 5 inches with a maximum overall length of 6 5/8 inches. Weight empty is only 19 1/2 ounces with center of gravity at the magazine release. Frame is matte black anodized finish alloy, and slide and parts are matte blue steel. Barrel is 3 1/2 inches, with right hand six groove 1:10 rifling. Slide is rounded steel, with serrated rear laterals. Sights are three white dot, dovetailed front and rear into a serrated solid rib, with the rear being windage adjustable. Trigger is .350 serrated face with overtravel stop; and hammer is .295 Beretta type. Double action pull is smooth and consistent 9 pound vicinity, with a two stage single action 4 pound pull with moderate felt creep. Chambering is .380 ACP caliber; the Thunder 380 comes with One factory steel 7 shot finger rest magazine, fully loaded capacity 7 + 1 rounds. This Bersa has a firing pin block safety, a manual safety / decocker, a keyed internal lock and even a magazine safety. Its feel, its ergonomics, approaches a Beretta 85 while it hews close to the dimensions of the Walther PPKS. Each Bersa comes in its factory box with fired brass envelope, protective papers, warning tag, instruction manual that contains factory registration page, NRA brochure, and warranty center information.
