From tour duty as a Mossberg showgirl comes this pristine specimen of the Model 935 Turkey Series. When Mossberg’s model 9200s began showing up in the early 1990s, we weren’t impressed by the aesthetically challenged shotguns. Mossberg persevered, though, and many of our serious local waterfowlers stayed on board until Mossberg made their 935 series, introduced in 2001, into one of the top five semi autos chambered in 3 1/2 inch magnum. Construction on this 935 Turkey variant is steel barrel, bolt, and parts, built into a light weight alloy receiver with polymer trigger housing. Type is gas operated semi-automatic. Chambering is for any 12 gauge shell, except for slugs. This 935 handles 3 inch and 3 1/2 inch magnums interchangeably. Capacity is 4 + 1 on 3 inch; or 3 + 1 on 3 1/2 inch loads. Barrel is 24 inch Back Bored Accu-Mag, no Slugs and so marked, and it comes with a factory Turkey tube that tapers down from .773 at the threads all the way to .691 at the muzzle. Sight system is a 10 port Ventilated Rib, with two red rear and one green front 3 dot High Visibility Fiber Optic sight profile tubes. The barrel is NOT Ported. Weight empty is 7 1/2 pounds, with center of gravity at the back inch of the forend. Finish is Real Tree ® Camo. Surface detractions on this specimen are minimal, only a superficial whitened spot on the left side of the receiver from sticker contact; otherwise, all we detect is contact streaking to the bottom of the shell carrier, but no brass residue, so we do not believe this 935 was ever test fired. We rate this 935 as Excellent, 90 to 95 percent vicinity. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, threads, and mechanism are all bright and clean. This 935 served with Mossberg’s Sale Force, and comes in a factory box with cable lock and instruction manual that bears Mossberg’s Statement of Warranty. Replacement pricing on this shotgun in our area is $600 or more. We’re offering the Mossberg 935 Turkey, 24 inch Vent Rib in the photos, however, for only $ 489.00.
