WWII Japanese Arisaka Pair, 1 Sporter, 1 Blem Guns > Rifles > Military Misc. Rifles Non-US > Other

While we welcome C&R Licenses where eligible, these are not eligible because one of them has been modified. Here is a pair of altered but genuine World War II Arisaka Rifles from the Japanese Military. Both of them came to us from California Residents. The Sporter, our #943, is a quite nice rifle that has only had its bolt handle expertly bent and had wood removed from the forend area. Its bolt serial number does not match the receiver. Wood is Very Good, with a pronounced contact crease on the left side beneath the receiver. It has generous bluing remaining on the barrel, and substantial bluing remaining on the receiver and rear of the bolt. We detect no cracks at all in the wood. The spliced buttstock is, of course, original. Since the bore is completely free of pitting and in Very Good to Excellent Condition, it may be a rebarrel, but it is an original 26 inch military barrel, attest the front sight. The second rifle of this pair, our #936, is missing its magazine assembly and has a pronounced 10 inch crack that runs on the left side from the tang all the way to the front retaining screw, underneath in front of the trigger guard. The left side also has some cutaway area on the left side of the receiver, possibly a preliminary attempt at scope mounting. The receiver here, however, is untouched. The bolt handle and extractor have matching numbers to the receiver. The firing pin mechanism is intact, but the bolt assembly needs some work and possibly parts because it is separated into two pieces. While both forend area bands have screws missing, the wood is good enough in that area that a person more talented than we are could make one good Arisaka out of these two. Surprisingly, the bore on 0936 is Very Good, with no visible pitting. The only competent gunsmith in our area is too busy to undertake this project, and we are neither competent nor gunsmiths. We do believe someone would have lots of fun and profit, though, with some work on this pair. We’re offering these two rifles as a pair only, for $150 apiece delivered to the lower 48 states. Own them for only $ 275.00. $25 flat fee shipping to the lower 47 states; $35 to Alaska, California or Hawaii. We accept checks with no more than 7 days hold. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
