Description: A great example of a Marlin model 1936 (36) lever action rifle in .32 Special. I believe this one was made in 1941 based on the B prefix and SN.

This is the sporting carbine variant with 20" barrel and 2/3rd magazine. Made in New Haven, CT when Marlin mfg was world class and machined from solid steel then hand finished. The quality of the New Haven workmanship shows.

The 1936 (36) models are hard to find and have the flat levers which I think are the best design Marlin ever had. The 1936 became the 36 which became the 336 they still make today.

This one has traces of case colors in a number of areas and is a very tight rifle. Never drilled or tapped.

Minor handling marks and a minor blemish of some sort out one side of the receiver.

Great addition to a collection and will make somebody a nice fast handling deer rifle that will last a lifetime.
