Description: HG4781 From a local young collector comes this attractive and distinctive British Made Enfield No. 2 Mk. I Revolver, chambered in the .380 Enfield Caliber. The cartridges are obsolete, but this revolver will accept .38 Smith & Wesson caliber cartridges, the short fat rimmed .38. It will Not accept .38 Special ammunition at all. This particular specimen sports a 2 inch, or 2 1/8 inch measured from the muzzle to cylinder face, barrel. Action is break-top double action only top break with breech lever and star ejector. Hammer is smooth backed and utilizes a Smith & Wesson style hammer nose. Grips are serrated Bakelite, and the original lanyard ring is intact. Note that there is a crack on the right panel butt end, but it is on the inside does not go all the way through. This series of revolver went into production in 1932; from this specimen’s ZG 2800 serial number range, we estimate that it is a Wartime production piece. There is some discussion out there about the snub nosed variant; these were modified for sale into U.S. Markets prior to the 1968 Gun Control Act. The ramp to the blade front sight shows seams all around, but the front sight is very well fitted. There is considerable debate about this variant's configuration. Its snub status came after World War II, possibly for military use, but more likely for sale onto the civilian market. At any rate, Surface detractions on this specimen are moderate; the surfaces show small amounts of original bluing, mostly on the breech lever, trigger and hammer, and some of the screws. Finish is gun metal gray mixed with brown patina, as the photos show. We rate this specimen as Good, 65 percent vicinity, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. This Enfield is Excellent mechanically; bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We’re offering this scarce, serviceable, attractive Enfield .38 Snub for only $ 489.00. Definitely C&R Eligible. Please Note that C&R Handguns must transfer through an 01 or 02 FFL in the States of California, Delaware, and Maryland; in the District of Colombia; and in the cities of Boston MA, Newark NJ, and Chicago IL. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $15 lower 48; $40 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
