The Model 700 VTR A-TACS, writes the factory, has a patent-pending triangular barrel design. A-TACS camo pattern on its stock is formulated with a digitized pattern that absorbs surrounding light for chameleon-like versatility. Its 22 inch triangular barrel weighs less than traditional heavy barrels yet delivers the same degree of heat dissipation and rigidity. Integral muzzle brake reduces muzzle rise. Vents in the fore-end quicken barrel cooling. It features Remington’s X-Mark Pro externally adjustable trigger system; and its dual forend area studs easily accommodate bipods and accessories. Specs are Remington 700 series Short Action Bolt Action Rifle; caliber .223 Remington, probably not best to try 5.56 NATO; internal BDL style magazine 5+1 capacity.
