Here is a fully traditional Model 60-3 in Excellent Condition, close to mint. Its serial number prefix is BBW, and that dates it to late 1988 or early 1989, President Reagan's last days in office. It is a fully traditional Model 60 with satin stainless hammer and trigger and original grips. Its only surface detractions, apart from faint cylinder rotation marking, are a half dozen or so tiny inconspicuous streaks and scours. Original Goncalo Magna grip panels have faint dullness to their sharp edges. We rate this Chief's Special Stainless, Third Engineering Change, as Excellent, 95 percent or more of the original finish intact. Photos will support us on that. This little 60-3 is excellent mechanically as well. Carbon deposit evidence on the cylinder face is very faint, and we do not believe this revolver has been fired 50 times. There is no blast effect or deposits of any kind on the under side of the frame top strap directly above the barrel's forcing cone. Bore and cylinder chambers are bright, clean, and excellent.
