By our poor memory, we sold this G2,332,000 range number Winchester Model 70 rifle new in 2007. Its exclusive local owner, one of our favorite Missouri immigrants, had to retire it due to medical conditions. It has been fired fewer than 60 times, and its bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Type is model 70 Bolt Action rifle, 3 shot internal magazine for 3 + 1 round capacity of .300 Winchester Magnum caliber ammunition. Finish is matte blue steel with classic Winchester jeweled surface bolt and three position safety. Stock is graphite based, pliable black synthetic, factory Winchester. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches from the serrated face trigger to the end of the inch-thick magnum grade recoil pad. That pad, in addition to the recoil-absorbing qualities of the strong ADL type stock, produces a relatively tame shooting experience with 150 grain Super X Winchester loads, but not quite tame enough for a septuaginarian who has undergone open heart surgery. Surface detractions are minimal to negligible on this rifle. Bolt jeweling pattern is near full strength. We rate it as Excellent, 95 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Replacement pricing for any Winchester Marked rifles in similar configuration is upwards of $1000 apiece in our area.
